Provincial P-C Candidates Forum In Lethbridge Thursday Night

 
 
LETHRBIDGE: You get a chance to check out the  six candidates vying to replace Ed Stelmach as leader of the Alberta Conservative party. 

The 5th in a series of provincial forums is being held in Lethbridge Thursday night.  It takes place in the Lethbridge Lodge (320 Scenic Drive) Ballroom beginning at 7:00.

You will have a chance to question the candidates, who include Doug Griffiths, Doug Horner, Gary Mar, Ted Morton, Rick Orman and Alison Redford.

You can also watch the forum live-streamed on the Alberta PC website: www.albertapc.ab.ca

The first leadership election ballot ill be held on September 17th.  If there is no majority winner, a second ballot will be held October 1st.  PC memberships will be available for $5 at the forums.

To vote for the next leader of the Alberta Progressive Conservatives, you must:

- Hold a valid membership in a Provincial PC Constituency Association.

- Be 16 years of age or older.

- Be a Canadian citizen.  Voters may be asked to prove citizenship.

- Have lived in Alberta for a minimum of 6-months prior to the election.

- Show two pieces of identification, including one with a photo.

-- Vote in the constituency where you are normally a resident or in an Advance Poll covering that constituency.
