Missed Court Appearance Leads to Arrest Warrant For Alleged Drug Trafficker
LETHBRIDGE: One of the three men charged in connection with a couple of major drug busts is now a wanted man.
36-year old Kevin Muchikekwanape failed to show up in court for his first appearance Thursday morning, forcing a judge to issue a warrant for his arrest.
On August 11th, several Regional Police units and RCMP executed search warrants at a home in the 3200-block of 20th avenue south and at a farm 20-km south-east of the city.
Police seized drugs that included pot, cocaine, heroin and magic mushrooms, as well as drug paraphernalia, $910 in cash, an air-soft replica firearm and a motorcycle stolen from Medicine Hat.
Those charged in the case include 38-year old Russel Pitchuck, who faces 17-counts for trafficking and possession. 22-year old Cory Persinger and 36-year old Kevin Muchikekwanpe were released for future court dates for possession and trafficking.
