Lethbridge Honours Layton With Candlelight Vigil

LETHBRIDGE: Flags fluttered at half mast across the city Friday, ahead of fallen NDP leader Jack Layton's funeral. More than 2,000 people are expected to fill Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto for the ceremony Saturday. Locally, NDP members have organized a candlelight vigil to honour the federal leader's memory. The event is open to the public. Those who attend are asked to wear something orange, bring their own candles and a musical instrument if they would like to dedicate a song to him. The vigil begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 26 at Lethbridge's city hall.
