RCMP K-9 Unit Captures Randall Hopley

 
 
SPARWOOD, B.C.:    Elk Valley RCMP confirm in a news release, accused kidnapper Randall Hopley has been captured.

A news conference is scheduled in Sparwood Tuesday afternoon.  Word is Hopley was found about 10:00 Tuesday morning by a K-9 unit.  He was located in a rock quarry in the Crowsnset Pass, just east of the B.C. border and was transported back to Sparwood.


Hopley, is the suspect in the disappearance of three-year-old Kienan Hebert, who was taken from his home in Sparwood, last Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning and mysteriously returned Sunday morning.

The 46-year old  Hopley is a convicted sex offender with a number of convictions in the past two decades that also include break-and-enter and assault. He was scheduled to be in Pincher Creek court on the 19th, to answer charges there. B-and-E charges stemming from an incident in the Crowsnest Pass last May.
