Council OK's North Side Duplexes Amid Complaints

LETHBRIDGE: City council approved a new north side development, despite complaints from nearby neighbours. They petitioned city hall against plans to build six new duplexes near the Catholic School Board administration office, saying the alley behind the land was too narrow.

"I would like to express to the neighbours that they have been heard and I think by the debate that we've had over this it seems we've listened to their concerns and are acting in their best interest as we see," said Ald. Faron Ellis.

Ellis said the development will help "renew" the area.
