Holy Spirit Roman Catholic School Division Planning for Future of Education
LETHBRIDGE: The Holy Spirit Roman Catholic School Division is hoping to get feedback from parents and teachers, as they explore how their curriculum should adjust to the changing times.
The "Transformation Conversation" is set for November 2nd, with the division planning to release more details as the event gets closer.
Superintendent Chris Smeaton explained that some of the programs and curriculum that worked for past generations, simply don't make sense today. He noted that creativity has become one of the most important skills in the work force, and that people now need more than just a strong back and work ethic.
Smeaton went on to say that the importance of a post secondary education continues to grow, and that students need to be prepared to take that step after high school.
