Alberta Health Will Again Offer Mass Flu Immunization Clinics

LETHBRIDGE:  Our province's flu immunization program begins October 17th, with vaccine available for free, to all Albertans aged six-months or older.

Flu stains change every year and this year's vaccine will include some new strains expected to be circulating.  As well, seniors 65 years or older or who have chronic conditions will be able to get a vaccine against an organism that can cause pneumonia.

As in the past mass flu clinics will be held at the Main Pavilion of Exhibition Park.

You can see a detailed list of clinic times and locations at http://www.albertahealthservices.ca/influenza.asp or by calling Health Link Alberta, toll-free at 1-866-408-LINK (5465).
