Lethbridge Real Estate Market Maintains Steady Pace
LETHBRIDGE: Despite global economic uncertainty, the Lethbridge real estate market is still holding strong in 2011.
So far this year 876 homes have been sold in the city, versus just 806 over the same period in 2010.
Lethbridge Real Estate Association President Rick Braden also noted that the average sale price is holding steady around $281,000, which is roughly were it stayed last year as well.
Braden explained that a massive inventory of homes on the market prevented the average price from climbing along with the number of sales. He added that buyers are also taking more time before making a decision as they have plenty of options to look at and consider.
Braden went on to say that he expects more of the same for the winter and spring, stating that the market appears to be fairly steady and it will take some time for the number of available homes to start to fall.
