Information Needed On Vandalized Vehicles And Police Charge City Man In Robbery Case

LETHBRIDGE: Regional Police need any information you may have about a string of vandalized vehicles.

About 4:47 Thursday morning, officers were called to a disturbance along Scenic Drive south.  They found 20-vehicles with damaged windows parked on the street between the 1300 and 2000 blocks.

A witness managed to get a glimpse of the culprit, who is described as a white male, about six-foot-three, with a slim build and short blond hair. He was wearing a bright orange hoodie and pants.

If you have any information, you need to contact Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.

Regional Police have also charged a 28-year old city man, as a result of an incident at a south side home on Wednesday night.

A 32-year old man called police after two men he knew came to his home in the 1500-block of Aspen place south and demanded the keys to his truck.  In spite of a struggle, the victim got away and as he drove off, one of the suspects threw the glass top of a coffee table at the truck.

When police arrived on scene, they found the two suspects, along with drugs and an axe. One suspect was released. The other, Alazar Mekonen Tadesse, faces six-charges, including robbery, mischief under $5,000, possession of an offensive weapon, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and breach of recognizance.
