Lethbridge Woman Gets Time Served for Montana Gun Smuggling Case
MONTANA: A 23-year old Lethbridge woman has been sentenced to time served in the U.S. after pleading guilty to trying to smuggle guns back into Canada.
Caley Dawn Sinclair was arrested in Montana in March along with 28-year old Harley Clifford Combres, after they had purchased firearms at a gun show, which they planned to sell once they returned to Canada.
Sinclair had faced between three to fours years in prison, however the judge decided that she had been manipulated by Combres, and that the 202 days she had already spent in custody was enough.
Sinclair will remain in custody for roughly another month while she waits to be deported back to Canada.
