Theft Suspect Caught Red Handed

LETHBRIDGE - A 31-year-old man is facing charges of theft under $5000 and mischief to property after being caught stealing money from parking meters.

Police received a report about the theft early Sunday morning in the 400 block of 8th Street South.

When they arrived, they found Jason Saunders with his hands inside one of the broken parking meters.

He was arrested without incident and was in possession of break in instruments and also had a large amount of change in his pockets.  He remains in custody for a court appearance on Monday.
