LETHBRIDGE: The Lethbridge-East MLA has been named the Liberal party's new whip - and she says she's up for the job. Bridget Pastoor says she'll be watching new Alberta premier Alison Redford closely, to see how her ideas work in practice.
"It'll be very interesting to see how she actually rolls this out," she told Country 95 News Tuesday. "I think that we have to make sure that just because you have a new leader, it doesn't mean you have a new government. So that still remains to be seen."
As the whip, Pastoor will be in charge of logistics issues like making sure her party asks the right questions at the right time in the provincial legislature. Pastoor will take her new post when the Alberta legislature starts up again Monday. Officials will sit for two days, and then adjourn until November.
