Media Blitz Prompts Wanted Man To Turn Himself In

 
 
LETHBRIDGE:  Regional Police notifed the media on Tuesday of arrest warrants for a city man wanted in connection with an assault at a local pub earlier this month.

A flurry of media postings prompted 35-year old Wesley Alfred Arcand to turn himself in on Wednesday.  He is charged with two counts of assault, two counts of breaching a recognizance and one count of mischief.

Police have also charged a 25-year-old David Dean Brown in connection with the same incident. He was arrested Tuesday and faces two counts of assault and one count of mischief.

All charges relate to an assault on October 11th, 2011 at Finnegan’s Pub along the 200 block of Stafford Drive North where a 22-year-old male was punched in the face and a 20-year-old male was thrown through a glass window. Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Both Arcand and Brown made an initial court appearance Wednesday morning.
