Military Explosives Found in Coaldale Home

COALDALE: Regional Police had to call in a military explosive technician Tuesday after they got an odd call in Coaldale.

While preparing a home for sale, two 19-inch training or illuminating rounds were discovered. The explosives were designed to be attached and dropped from aircraft.

A technician from CFB Suffield seized the rounds and took them for destruction.

Police remind everyone that if you find military ordnance you should never touch or disturb the items as they can still be very dangerous. You need to leave the area carefully and call police.
