RCMP Continue Search For Two Of Nine Firearms Taken In Store Theft
RAYMOND: Two area men face numerous firearms offences and possesion of stolen
property, in relation to the theft of firearms from the Raymond Pro Hardware
On October 11th, two non-restricted firearms were removed from the store
during business hours. One suspect kept employees busy in the store's back room
while another man took the guns. Then, on November 13th, seven more
non-restricted firearms, ammunition and $1000 cash was taken from the store
during an early morning break in. In both cases, cables securing the firearms
Evidence was found at the scene of the crime and tips to RCMP indicated
where the firearms could be located. An investigation found Seven of the
nine-guns at a rural residence near Raymond and at a home in Lethbridge. The
investigation continues to locate the remaining two firearms.
After an initial court appearance on Monday, 38-year old Chet Vernon Keller
of Raymond, remains in custody until his next court appearance on Friday.
37-year old Ryan Bryce Hall of Lethbridge was released from custody to make his
first court appearance January 19th, 2012.
