LETHBRIDGE: Patrick Bryan Ryckman's been declared fit to stand trial following the completion of a psychiatric assessment.
One was ordered after day one of his child pornography trial started earlier this month when there was an incident in court, which is covered by a publication ban.
The report states that Ryckman understands the charges against him and the potential consequences should he be found guilty. It also states that Ryckman is not a danger to himself or anyone else.

When the trial first started November 7th a former University of Lethbridge security guard stated that on August 17th, 2009, a USB stick found in a university computer lab was turned in. He opened it to find the owner and discovered numerous images and videos of child pornography.
The trial is set to get back underway December 19th and run for three days, beforing adjourning until March 19th and 20th to wrap things up.
