Police Ramp Up Efforts To Catch Drunk Drivers

LETHBRIDGE - Regional Police are out with a warning for those people drinking and driving this holiday season.  If you get caught...you will be prosecuted.

Regional Traffic Safety Consultant Kevin Brandvold says they're also encouraging people to report drunk drivers by calling 9-1-1.

He adds there's no excuse for drinking and driving this year with several resources available like Operation Red Nose.

Last year there were 23 fatalities in the Southwest portion of the province and 10 percent of them had alcohol involved.
