Several Injured in Series of Crashes Wednesday

SOUTHERN ALBERTA: Pincher Creek RCMP responded to several crashes on Highway 3 Wednesday between Pincher Creek and Lundbreck.

At about 2 p.m. there was a three vehicle collision that involved a semi-trailer. All occupants were treated by EMS and transferred to hospitals in Calgary and Lethbridge because of the extent of their injuries.

At 4 p.m. a pick-up truck crashed and rolled over several times. Two adults and three children were in the truck - one of the adults went to hospital with serious injuries.

RCMP say rumours that anyone died as a result of these crashes are false - although one woman is still in hospital with serious injuries. They're still investigating both collisions, but say ice and snow were contributing factors.
