Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges

LETHBRIDGE - Two men are facing charges after police found drugs during a traffic stop.

It happened around 1am Saturday morning in the 1000 block of 15th Street South.

One person in the vehicle lied repeatedly about his identity.  Turns out it was because he was violating a curfew, imposed after he was recently charged for drug related offenses.

Police then found a small amount of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Both men were taken into custody but were later taken to hospital, after police suspected they had swallowed drugs that were in the vehicle when it was stopped.

25-year-old Lane Tailfeathers has been charged with possession of cocaine, while 19-year-old Billy Gravelle faces a charge of breach of a recognizance.
