LETHBRIDGE: City staff could have some possible sites picked out for a new skate park by the end of the day Tuesday. A few weeks ago, a consultant and a public meeting process had narrowed down the site to two possible locations on the west side. But concerns from residents in the neighbourhood prompted staff to go back to the drawing board.
In response to an enquiry from Ald. Jeff Coffman at Monday's city council meeting, administration said they've now identified 27 possible sites for the skate park throughout the city and will narrow that down to a shorter list by the end of the day Tuesday. Staff told council they'll bring them a report on the issue in the new year.
