LETHBRIDGE: The U-of-L Pronghorn Operation Red Nose is taking a break over the Christmas
weekend after just wrapping-up a record breaking weekend for
rides. It will be back in service for New Year's Eve.
The operation's record breaking numbers over the past weekend, included
186-volunteers providing 452 rides to party-goers. On Friday night alone, the
Operation Red Nose did 233-rides -- the first time they passed the 200-ride
total for a single night.
So far this season, 1277 rides have been handled by 620-volunteers. That's
ahead of last year's total 1177 rides.
An increase in calls means they can always use more volunteers to meet
demand. To get involved you can call Pronghorn Athletics at
While the Operation Red Nose service is free, those using
