RCMP Reveal A Fifth Home Lost in Nanton Fire

NANTON: Mounties have just released new information of a fifth home destroyed or heavily damaged by Wednesday's fire near Nanton. They say additional damage to at least seven outbuildings has been reported and several parked vehicles were damaged or destroyed.

They confirmed the flames in that area have been put out completely and reassured the public there were no injuries to residents reported, aside for a woman who was treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause, as previously confirmed, was a downed power line. RCMP have now closed their investigation into that part of the fire.
