LETHBRIDGE: The city is inviting you to a couple of public open houses coming up in a couple of weeks.
You'll have a chance to look at the proposals for a new community leisure centre, which would be connected to the twin-ice arena planned for West Lethbridge.
City Recreation and Culture Manager Ashley Matthews noted that it would be geared more towards simple recreation, with a much less competative atmosphere then in other athletic facilities in Lethbridge.
He added that it would be the kind of place where mothers could take their children and where older adults could stay in shape.
The first open house is set for January 31st at Nicholas Sheran school, with the second going February 1st at city hall. They'll run from 7 to 9 both nights.
If you can't make either open house you can still learn more by visiting www.lethbridge.ca.
