Regional Police Kick Off Fraud Prevention Month

LETHBRIDGE - If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

That's the message from Regional Police to kick off Fraud Prevention Month. They will spend the month of March highlighting issues like online dating scams, counterfeit cards/skimming, identity theft and investment fraud.

Regional Police will make presentations to seniors and student organizations, as well they will host a free shredding event in the AMA parking lot on March 23rd from 10am to 2pm for people to get rid of personal documents and magnetic and optic media such as CD's and hard drives.
