LETHBRIDGE - A big improvement is on the way for the Lethbridge Transit Headquarters.
The $8.9 million project will include expansion of the vehicle storage
garage, a new environmentally friendly wash facility, the addition of a second
storey for administrative offices and meeting space, removal of underground fuel
tanks and retrofitting and updating bus maintenance bays.
On Monday, City Council awarded the tender to the low bidder, Dawson Wallace
Construction of Calgary. Construction is expected to begin by late spring and be
completed by the fall of 2014.
The project will be funded by provincial grants. During construction, transit
