Foremost In The Running For Small Town Saturday Night Contest
FOREMOST - Foremost is one of the finalists for the Small Town Saturday Night
contest put on by Big Valley Jamboree and Travel Alberta.
The winning community will get to host a Chad Brownlee concert
on April 27th. Foremost is the only southern Alberta community in the
running.
Organizer Joyce Williams says if they win, all the proceeds from
the event would go to an arena renovation project. That would include a facelift
for the lobby with bathrooms that connect to the outdoor swimming pool and
re-doing the dressing rooms to accommodate co-ed teams. Williams says the project
will go ahead either way, but winning would take a huge amount of financial
pressure off the community.
