LETHBRIDGE: The University of Lethbridge's Integrated Management Experience class partners with the Lethbridge chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society-Lethbridge Chapter and three local restaurants Thursday, for "Cuisine 4 a Cause".
From 5-PM to 10-PM, 100-per cent of food profits from Spring Rolls, Streatside Eatery, and Two Guys and a Pizza Place will go to the non-profit group. That goes for both dine in and take out.
The program was started in 2000 at the university, and has seen classes help various community groups raise over $150,000.
U-of-L student Caitrin McKenzie explained that her group came up with this years idea and the rest of the class voted for it. She continued that there was a major element to it, which made it the strongest choice, "Our biggest thing for this project is we really wanted it to be simple, we didn't want the MS Society to need to donate a ton a man power and invest a ton of money in getting the equipment and advertising and stuff done. So we've tried to keep it as minimal labour and as minimal cost as possible, so that they can replicate it."
