University Staff and Students Will Experience Homelessness For 5 Days

Lethbridge: From March 10th to March 15th, University of Lethbridge students and professors will brave the cold for the annual 5 Days of Homelessness.

Participants sacrifice technology, routine meals, a warm bed and their own personal hygiene for the next 5 days. They will only be permitted to eat food that is given to them or use monetary donations to purchase food. Students and staff will not have access to money and will wear the clothing on their backs. They are allowed to bring a sleeping bag that they will use as warmth and clothing for the week. They are responsible to build their own shelter out of cardboard and tape.

The campaign raises funds for Woods Homes Emergency Youth Shelter. This year's goal is $10,000 To date, the group has raised over $50,000.
