Renovation Project At Henderson Lake Outdoor Pool To Be Considered
LETHBRIDGE - Several improvements are long overdue at the Henderson Lake outdoor
pool.
The basin needs to be replaced due to a leak that has caused
problems for several years. New Circulation equipment also needs to be installed
to eliminate the leaking piping and improve the quality of the water. The
renovation would also add new amenities such as slides, spray toys and a tot
area.
Director of Community Services Bary Beck says since the pool is only open for
two and a half months of the year, they should be able to complete the work
without much interruption to visitors. However, he adds they will be working in
an area that used to be an old slew so he doesn't know what they will find once
the basin is removed.
City Council will consider the $6.4-million project as they put together the
capital budget over the next couple of months. Posted on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 6/18/2013 3:42:54 PM
