LETHBRIDGE:  In spite of the yo-yo weather and blustery winds Lethbridge is still one of the best places to live in Canada. According to the 8th annual Money Sense Magazine list of best places to live, Lethbridge came in at number-9 over-all.

The magazine looks at what communities have to offer, not just in terms of weather but, general quality of life which included elements such as income, employment, crime rate and housing costs.

There were five Alberta cities in the 2013 Top-10, including Calgary which took top spot. St. Albert grabbed 2nd place, Strathcona County came in 4th and Lacombe was 8th.

Alberta cities among the top-30 were Edmonton at number-11, Canmore placed 24th, Medicine Hat was in 27th place and Wetaskwin came in at 30.

Interestingly, when communities are placed in sub categories, Lethbridge ranked fourth among the Top-10 mid-size cities in the country as the best place to live and was the only Alberta city on that Top-10 list.
