Displaying Alcohol In A Vehicle And Threatening Police = Charges
LETHBRIDGE: Drinking and driving is never a bright idea but, it would appear someone
needs to be reminded that just having open liquor in a vehicle is also illegal.
Add to this scenario, the fact that a male passenger in a vehicle actually
displayed the alcoholic beverage to a passing police officer!
The incident actually happened, about 8:30 Sunday morning. The male
passenger inside a vehicle traveling in the 200 block of Mayor Magrath Drive
North, displayed an alcoholic beverage to police. As a result a traffic stop
A can of liquor was thrown from the vehicle prior to the stop. While a police
officer spoke with the vehicle's occupants, the passenger became confrontational
and uttered threats to cause death.
The passenger, 33-year old Tor Bul Thon of Lethbridge, was arrested and
charged with one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He
is scheduled to appear in court April 30.
