Resisting Police And Assaulting An Officer Nets Charges For City Pair

 
 

LETHBRIDGE:  An incident on the evening of Wednesday, March 27th has resulted a court date for a city couple.

Regional Police were called to a report of an unwanted guest causing a disturbance at a home along Foxbend Crescent. When they arrived, officers were unable to get the woman to leave. She became aggressive and while officers attempted to place her under arrest, the woman resisted and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, an 18-year old man intervened and punched one of the officers.

The 17-year-old woman, who cannot be identified, is charged with resisting a peace officer and is scheduled to appear in youth court April 24.

18-year old Ejaie Christopher Herman, of Lethbridge, is charged with assaulting a peace officer and resisting a peace officer. He is scheduled to appear in court April 23.
