Lethbridge MP Takes Leave Following Ski Accident

LETHBRIDGE: A skiing accident in Fernie over the long weekend will keep Lethbridge MP Jim Hillyer out of action for some time.

He broke a leg in several places and will require reconstructive surgery, although that can't happen until the swelling goes down in about two weeks. After that he will need rehabilitation.

During Hillyer's adsence his office will stay open with staff and government colleagues covering the workload.

All scheduled meetings and public events have been cancelled for an undetermined length of time.
