LETHBRIDGE: A 30-year old man from Lloydminster, Saskatchewan faces impairment charges
relating to a collision on Sunday.
At about 2:45 on the morning of April 21st, a car operated by a local Taxi
company was westbound on 3rd Avenue South at 12 Street South, when a south-bound
2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee on 12 Street south failed to stop at the stop sign at
3rd Avenue and collided with the Taxi. The Jeep then left the scene.
occupants of the taxi were treated on scene by EMS for minor injuries.
Witnesses who saw the collision followed the Jeep and called police. The Jeep
was located in the 3600 block of 22 Avenue South. The driver displayed signs of
impairment and following further investigation was charged.
Michael Foley was charged with impaired driving, driving over .08, dangerous
driving, and failing to remain at the scene of a collision. He is expected in
court June 4th.
