Hazmat Crews Called in to Handle 'Chemical Cloud' at Downtown Restaurant

LETHBRIDGE: Emergency crews took precautionary measures as they dealt with a chemical combination that created a hazardous gas at the Telegraph Tap House Thrusday afternoon.

Fire officials say staff were using a descaling cleaner on their grill when they spilled bleach on it, creating a chemical cloud.

A chef working there was taken to hospital as a result, where he was treated and released a short time later.

It was two weeks ago to the day that hazmat crews had to respond to another gas cloud at the YMCA parking lot.
