Two Taber Men Charged in Series of Thefts

 
 

LETHBRIDGE: One Taber man has been charged and charges are pending against another, following a string of thefts between February 15th and April 29th of this year.

 

April 30th the Taber Police Service arrested the two men following a long investigation into numerous theft complaints. The items taken included scrap metal, brass screens, vehicle batteries and parts, copper wiring and recyclable cans and bottles. They were taken from victims yards and garages, with a total estimated value of $6,000.

 

In addition to the theft and possession of stolen property charges, 33-year old Brian Robert James also faces one count of failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. James is being held in custody and will appear in court May 2nd.

 

At this timeTaber Police are not releasing the name of the other suspect involved, saying the 57-year old man has not been formally charged yet.
