Council Will Begin Debating Capital Budget Projects On Tuesday

 
 

LETHBRIDGE - Members of City Council will have some tough decisions this week.

 

They begin debating projects to be included in the capital budget on Tuesday. Councillor Bridget Mearns says they will be discussing $364-million in projects with $68-million to fund them.

 

Mearns feels the most difficult part will be meeting the expectations of the community. She says "of course everyone is very passionate about what they want, it's up to the Council to decide and take in all that information and make decisions that are going to move our city forward in the short term and the long term, not an easy thing for us to be doing, but we certainly appreciate the feedback and it does help us through the process."
