Fire Marshall Issues Fire Ban In River Valley

LETHBRIDGE:  It was expected to happen eventually.

The City Fire Marshal has issued an immediate Fire Ban for the river valley area.

The only exceptions are the stoves at the John Mart Centre, as well as fire pits at the Elks Compound, the Popson Park Picnic Shelter and the community fire pit at Bridgeview RV resort.

Fire pits are still allowed at private residential homes.

Residents can access more information about the Fire Ban at www.lethbridge.ca or can call the Fire Prevention office at 320-3811.
