Second Accused in Apartment Complex Fire Enters Guilty Plea

LETHBRIDGE: 25-year old Sheila May Crow Eagle entered a guilty plea to arson Monday morning, in connection with the fire at the Van Haarlem apartment building February 1st.

The fire started early in the morning with 25 people living in the complex. Fortunately only one man was injured, breaking a leg when he jumped from a window to escape the blaze.

Crow-Eagle will be sentenced July 18th, at which time a pre-sentence report should be ready.

Co-accused, 40-year old Crystal Joyce Mills, was handed a 3-year prison sentence back in March when she offered her guilty plea.
