LETHBRIDGE: This Fall's Provincial Civic Elections have been set
for October 21st. During this election, candidates will be chosen to sit for
a four-year term, instead of the previous three years in office.
Each city, town, community or county around the
province has their own number of Councillors or Reeves to elect.
For Lethbridge, the election will include:
-- Chief Elected Official - Mayor
-- Councillor – 8 Councillors
-- Lethbridge School District No. 51 Trustee – 7
-- Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Separate Regional
Division No. 4 (Ward No. 2) – 5 Trustees
Candidate Information Packages are now available and
may be picked up Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the
Office of the City Clerk on the 2 Floor of City Hall.
Nomination Day is Monday, September 23rd, when all
intended candidates must have their nomination papers delivered to the Returning
