NDP Health Critic Feels AHS Board Members Should Not Be Replaced

LETHBRIDGE - New Democrat Health Critic David Eggen believes the Alberta Health Services Board has been a dismal failure since the beginning.

Now that they've been fired for refusing to reconsider executive bonuses, Eggen feels it's time to move in a new direction.

He says this is a good chance to put health care back into the Ministry of Health where it belongs and allow for local decision making as it was before.

Eggen adds that the Board said it best themselves that the government wants to use them as a puppet and what's the point of having more people in there that don't have real decision making power.
