LETHBRIDGE - The Prairie Urban Garden Tour presented by the Oldman Watershed Council is
coming up this weekend.
The self guided tour will include about 10 homes plus the Galt Museum and
Program Coordinator Andrea Vaxvick says it's designed to "get people out and
about looking at local gardens in Lethbridge that use drought tolerant and
native plants that require less water, fertilizer and pesticides once
established, so as to conserve water and protect water quality."
To get a map, show up at Kinsman Park on Saturday June 22nd between 10am and
2pm. Then view the gardens at your leisure until 4 o clock. Local landscape
designer and horticulturalist Kirsten Hironaka will also be presenting at 10am
and again at 1pm.
