Better Business Bureau Warns of Charity Scams During Southern Alberta Flood

LETHBRIDGE: While the best in people has been highlighted by a number of great examples of individuals helping others during flooding across Southern Alberta, we're also starting to see the worst.

The Better Business Bureau is warning that a number of charity scams started popping-up just hours after flood waters hit Southern Alberta communities, both in social and mainstream media.

They noted that there are still plenty of legitimate charitable organizations out there, and that to avoid wasting your generosity you should simply do some research before giving any money away.
