LETHBRIDGE: A 59-year old Lethbridge man was given time served Tuesday morning, after pleading guilty to arson.
The Crown explained that Bradley Kim Bergman had been renting a room in a house with several other individuals. The Crown added that Bergman didn't seem to get along with the other people living there or the landlord.
On March 1st of this year, following an argument with a roommate, Bergman went outside, poured gasoline on the mans truck and set it on fire. The blaze quickly spread to a garage, damaging two more vehicles.
Bergman has spent 117-days in pre-trial custody and was given time and a half credit.
In addition to that sentence, Bergman is also barred from having any contact with the victim or returning to the house. The court imposed that because of concerns from police, who noted that after Bergman was arrested, he made comments to them that made them worry about about the safety of the owner of the truck and others living in the home.
