Exhibition Park Assisting Calgary Stampede

LETHBRIDGE - Lethbridge Exhibition Park is helping the Calgary Stampede while they're in the midst of cleaning up after the flooding.

Exhibition Park is offering to stage the mobile concessions that are currently in transit to Calgary and concessionaires can wait here for further updates.

General Manager Rudy Friesen says "at first analysis we understood that it could be as many as 50 units. Since then we have heard that those that have just wrapped up the summer fair in Winnipeg on Sunday are allowed to just stay there in Winnipeg and wait there until they're given the word, so it will be somewhat less than the 50 and probably most that would take advantage of this option would be the concessionaires that are coming out of the US."

Friesen adds it's a very tight knit industry and they're happy to help the Stampede in whatever way they can.
