Canada Border Services Gears Up For Return Of Long-Weekend Travelers
Southern Alberta: Canada Border Services is reminding travellers headed south for the long weekend to plan ahead, when returning home.
For faster travel, Border Services recommends crossing at non-peak hours. They also recommended to keep travel documents on-hand, know where your receipts are, your purchases, your exemptions and resistrictions, as well as the contents of your vehicle.
Last year, Monday was the busiest travel day of the long weekend with 1, 385 vehicles crossing at Coutts.
Border Services says the best thing to do is be honest with officers.
