LETHBRIDGE - Canada Day activities will take over Henderson Lake on Monday.
include live music and dancing, a children's area, kayak and dragon boat
demonstrations, all leading up to the fireworks at 11pm.
There will also
be an electronic music festival in Galt Gardens from noon to 5pm featuring local
Henderson Outdoor Swimming Pool and Westminster Public Outdoor Pool also have special admission prices and places like SAAG have free admission. Special events are also taking place at Spitz Stadium where the Bulls have a double header against Swift Current, the Galt Museum and Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden.
There's a free transit shuttle running from 1 to 7pm between downtown on 6th Street South to the preferred parking for Henderson Lake at Exhibition Park. It will leave downtown on the hour and the half hour.
Regional Police will be on hand looking for things like liquor
consumption in the park which carries a $115 fine. The penalty jumps to $287 if
caught drinking in a vehicle.
