Possible Cougar Attack And Sighting In Fort Macleod

LETHBRIDGE - There's been a possible cougar sighting on the east side of Fort Macleod by the River Valley park area.

Community Peace Officer Scott Donselaar tells Country 95 News that on Thursday, a resident phoned the Town indicating that their dog may have suffered injuries from a cougar and later that afternoon they believe they spotted the animal walking across their property.

The dog had a few puncture wounds and the veterinarian also believes a cougar may have been responsible.

Alberta Fish and Wildlife has been notified.
