Free Legal Session For Flood Victims

LETHBRIDGE - Southern Alberta flood victims have a way to get some answers to their legal issues.

Lethbridge Legal Guidance and Calgary Legal Guidance have teamed up to provide victims with a legal information session on Thursday at the Culver Room in City Hall from 10am to noon.

Lawyers will be on hand to answer questions dealing with a variety of legal topics. Executive Director Judy Godlonton says "there's employment issues, there's residential tenancies, if you're a tenant do you still have to keep paying your rent even though you have no place to live, some other things are child support, child custody, if the court has ordered you can't leave the community you live in and you had to because of a flood are you breaching that court order."

Medicine Hat will have their own session on Wednesday from 12 to 2pm at the Medicine Hat Public Library.

Anyone who wants to attend must register by calling 403-380-6338.
