LETHBRIDGE - Southern Alberta flood victims have a way to get some answers to their legal
Lethbridge Legal Guidance and Calgary Legal Guidance have teamed up to
provide victims with a legal information session on Thursday at the Culver Room
in City Hall from 10am to noon.
Lawyers will be on hand to answer questions dealing with a variety of legal
topics. Executive Director Judy Godlonton says "there's employment issues,
there's residential tenancies, if you're a tenant do you still have to keep
paying your rent even though you have no place to live, some other things are
child support, child custody, if the court has ordered you can't leave the
community you live in and you had to because of a flood are you breaching that
Medicine Hat will have their own session on Wednesday from 12 to 2pm at the
Medicine Hat Public Library.
