LETHBRIDGE:    A 37-year old city man city has been charged with fraud.

An investigation by the Regional Police Economic Crimes Unit determined that between June 6th and June 10th of this year, a man used numerous cheques to purchase more than $5,600 worth of grocery items, cigarettes and electronics from a local store. When the business deposited the cheques they were returned as NSF.

On July 9th, the man went to another store and filled a shopping cart with groceries, and then tried to return the items. However, he left the store when staff refused to return the items without a receipt.
